4open is proud to announce that the journal has been included in the Publons Journal List. Publons, the service which "aims to speed up research by harnessing the power of peer review", encourages transparency in the peer review process for all involved - a theme that dominated the discussion during the recent Peer Review Week (September 11th-15th).

As a new Open Access journal (albeit one from a publisher with a longstanding legacy in partnering with academic societies , 4open understands the importance of establishing its own credibility among members of the scholarly community. Publons positions its Journal List as "a positive and dynamic alternative to Beall’s list", with each journal needing to meet strict criteria for inclusion. The editorial team values the journal's listing as recognition of all the hard work so far.

4open has resolute commitments to academic integrity, and fully adheres to industry guidelines with respect to publication ethics and will continue to do so without compromise.
