Following the successful launch of a series of masterclasses on scientific writing last year, a third masterclass in conjunction with Paris-Saclay University took place last month with a focus on Chemistry. Unlike previous sessions, this masterclass took place entirely online over two days and was designed to support distance learning for researchers and PhD students during these disrupted times.
Alongside Senior Publishing Editors from EDP Sciences, Dr. Petoud, Director of Research at the Centre de Biophysique Moléculaire, Orléans, France, was invited to support the preparation and delivery of the online event. Dr. Petoud offered his wealth of experience as an expert in the field of Chemistry and spoke eloquently about ‘Open Science’.
Dr. Petoud is widely published and gained his experience while studying and working at a number of renowned international institutions including:
- Science Department of the University of Lausanne in Switzerland (now EPFL)
Lanthanide Coordination Chemist & Spectroscopist - University of California Berkeley
Postdoctoral Researcher - University of Pittsburgh
Professor of Chemistry - Center for Molecular Biophysics (CNRS)
Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry - INSERM
Research Director
We are proud of Dr. Petoud’s involvement in this worthwhile event and thank him for sharing his knowledge generously to help shape future leaders in science.
